PIXNET Joint Master Degree in Photonics: Scholarships and funding opportunities available in 2018 under Erasmus Mundus with a total value of 35,000 euro. Applications will be accepted until March 16

The PIXNET Joint Master Degree Scholarships of Euro 35,000 will be available to talented students starting a two year, full time Master’s degree at Sant’Anna School, Aston University Birmingham (UK), the TuE Technische University Eindhoven (The Netherlands), and Osaka University. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for the scholarships by 16 March.

PIXNET is based on an interdisciplinary approach to train graduates in telecommunications, electrical engineering and physics who wish to develop careers in the field of Photonic Technologies; applications for photonic integrated circuits are in the area of fiber-optic communication, biomedical industry, photonic computing, aerospace and defense.

This Master course, jointly delivered by the Technische University Eindhoven, Aston University and Osaka University international consortium, is designed to ensure that all students are exposed to the key topics in photonics, including metamaterials, microfabrication and nano-photonics.

All partners in the PIXNET program and Sant’Anna School as the project coordinator, defined paths for applicants under Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Scholarships and Erasmus+ Key Action 1 Mobility. The participating institutions will recognize the credits gained by the students, for activities successfully completed abroad, as part of their joint degree.

The team of researchers at the Sant'Anna School INPHOTEC center (Institute TECIP -Communication, Information and Perception Technologies), at the Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies - AIPT), at NanoLab@Technische -Eindhoven and the University of Osaka will welcome Italian students, students whose citizenship is one of the EU Member States , students from Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, and Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and students from partner countries who are residents or have carried out their main activity (studies, training or work) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years.
