PUBLIC SECTOR, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND THE ROLE OF THE STATE IN TIMES OF CRISIS

The conference on the role of the State, social responsibility and governments interventions in times of crisis “L’utilità sociale del lavoro pubblico nella crisi dello stato nazionale” will be held in Pisa on February 9 at 10.00 am – University of Pisa, Palazzo Boileau. The Conference, organized by the Equal Opportunities Commission - Comitati Unici di Garanzia (CUG), will focus on the role of government in response to the crisis, public-private partnerships and third-party delivery of governmental services.

Scholars, public managers and representatives from the city’s voluntary organizations will participate in the conference. Professor Sabina Nuti, director of the Laboratorio Management e Sanità - Laboratory for Healthcare and Clinical Management (exploring the management, leadership, and improvement of public health services) will give her speech on the Evolution and Challenges of Public Healthcare System "Evoluzioni e sfide del sistema sanitario pubblico”.

The Equal Opportunities Committees - Comitati Unici di Garanzia (CUG) in Pisa include: Sant’Anna School, Scuola Normale Superiore, University of Pisa, Pisa City Council, Pisa Province authority and Pisa Hospital. The primary aim of the Equal Opportunities Committee is to promote and protect everyone’s right in the workplace.
