American magazine Newsweek provides readers with a comprehensive overview of the best universities in the world. The article published in Newsweek, provides an in depth survey of the higher education institutions with a focus on Italy historical legacy and educational opportunities in Tuscany.

Pisa, the birthplace of Galileo Galilei, is the home to Sant’Anna School, which is ranked one of the ten best young universities in the world. Founded in 1987, Sant’Anna School offers a range of opportunities for those who want to study and conduct research in economics, law, political sciences, medical sciences, agricultural sciences and biotechnology, industrial and information engineering.

Surveys by Times Higher Education and QS reported that Sant’Anna School is ranked in the top 200 of best universities in the world (Times Higher Education World University Rankings and QS World University Rankings) and in the top 10 of the best young (aged less than 50 years) universities.

The Newsweek reporter highlights that Sant’Anna School has achieved success in all of its scientific areas such as photonics, 5G telecommunications, virtual reality, nutraceutical foods and antioxidant-rich black tomatoes. Few universities in Tuscany can boast such an impressive scientific output in terms of articles published in the most prestigious journals and high number of patents as Sant’Anna School in Pisa.
