Healthcare: new official recognition for Sant’Anna School professor Sabina Nuti appointed to EC panel of independent experts

The European Commission has appointed Professor Sabina Nuti, coordinator of Sant’Anna School “Management and Healthcare” Lab., to the panel of independent experts working on “Effective Ways of Investing in Health”, over the next three years - 2016 to 2019.

On November 25th, the Commission announced the appointment of new Panel Members who were selected from the pool of expressions of interest. The new panel composed of 15 members will serve a three year term, until the end of May 2019. The expert members in the areas of human medicine, public health and economics will provide the Commission with independent advice and support on health systems’ sustainability.

The Panel will support the European Commission in delivering the opinions on a wide range of public health issues and cooperate with the Commission in presenting country-specific and cross-country knowledge and scientific evidence to policymakers to produce evidence-based decisions.

Evidence-based policymaking is central to the Commission agenda on effective, accessible, responsive and sustainable health systems.
