SANT’ANNA WORKS TO DEVELOP A STRONGER PARTNERSHIP WITH CHINA: OPENING CEREMONY OF THE “TIME GALLERY” TO CELEBRATE THE 10th ANNIVERSARY OF “GALILEO GALILEI INSTITUTE” IN CHONGQING

Sant'Anna School has always been very committed to the promotion of cooperation with China. Sant’Anna has recently participated in the opening ceremony of the “Galileo Galilei Time Gallery” in Chongqing University. Andrea Piccaluga, professor of management at Sant’Anna and president of Netval -Technology Transfer Offices of Universities and Public Research Organizations, attended the ceremony. The “Galileo Galilei Time Gallery” is the first initiative dedicated to celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Chongqing Galileo Galilei Italian Institute established in 2007.

The Galileo Galilei Italian Institute is jointly supported by the Chongqing University and by the Istituto Confucio - Pisa. The overall mandate is to facilitate the best collaborative scientific research for innovation, to promote common development and consolidate the foundation for progress of academic cooperation.

Professor Andrea Piccaluga gave his speeches on “China through the Telescope”, and “Knowledge transfer from Public Research in Italy: the experience of Netval”. The “Galileo Galilei Time Gallery”’s keynote speaker was Lorenzo Gonzo of the Italian consulate in Chongqing. Participants included: Alberto Di Minin, professor of management at Sant’Anna; academics and students from Chongqing University and Sant’Anna; experts and members of Chongqing “Science and Technology Municipal Commission”.
