Erasmus Incoming

Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (hereafter SSSA) is an elite higher education institution that holds a unique position within the Italian university system. It is a university in its own right, offering Masters (Jointly with a partner University) and PhD courses, at the same time for undergraduates it offers Courses for talented students that is a unique educational formula, integral to the Pisa University System.

Due to its peculiar characteristics, if you are interested in the training and research activities of the SSSA and you are willing to spend an Erasmus Mobility period at the SSSA please contact the International Relations Office – Erasmus Mobility erasmus@santannapisa.it that will help you to check which could be the best option for you (attend classes, preparing your thesis, research/study period etc.).

If you are a student of the 1st and 2nd cycle it would be possible for you to combine the courses attended at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies with some courses offered at the University of Pisa: www.unipi.it. Please contact the International Relations Office in order to have more information about this opportunity.


ERASMUS INCOMING STUDENTS - STEP BY STEP

Step 1 – Nomination

Make sure that your University has informed the ERASMUS Office about your arrival at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna.

Your home university must officially nominate you by e-mail to erasmus@santannapisa.it. This e-mail must include:

  • Name
  • Study programme
  • Study period
  • E-mail address

Step 2 – Contact with the International Relations Office

Once nominated please send an email to the IRO (erasmus@santannapisa.it) with the following attached documents:

  • Short CV
  • Learning Agreement
  • Transcript of records (not required for PhD students)

Deadlines:
Autumn term and whole year - June 30
Spring term - December 15

Please note that if you are not willing to attend classes but you will only do a research/study period you should contact the IRO at any time of the year but at least one month before your arrival, in order to let us give you a confirmation and a proper assistance.

STEP 3 – Confirmation

After the Erasmus Office has verified your details, you will receive a second message confirming your registration. You will also receive information on what you should accomplish before your departure.
The International Relations Office will offer you assistance in finding an accommodation and regarding all the “immigration procedure”, please read carefully the instruction on our website.
