The seminar 'Modelling product life cycles: experiences, challenges, and ways forward' with Prof. Massimo Pizzol (Aalborg University) will take place on Tuesday, April 1st at 11 a.m.  in Room 3 of the Sant'Anna School headquarters. Abstract

Massimo Pizzol, Life Cycle Sustainability group, Department of Sustainability and Planning at Aalborg University. Massimo is an expert in sustainability assessment in particular life cycle assessment (LCA). With a MSc degree in Environmental Sciences and a PhD degree in Planning and Development, Massimo has worked within the sustainability domain for more than 15 years performing LCAs of different products, as well as developing new methodologies tools and approaches for LCA. Massimo’s current research is within the use and improvement of consequential LCA and the study of uncertainty in LCA. Massimo is currently focusing on the assessment of bio-based products and technologies, modelling of emerging technologies in the blue and green bioeconomy and their upscaling, and stochastic approaches to uncertainty analysis. He is currently active in several collaborative research projects, in particular he is Coordinator in ALIGNED (Horizon Europe RIA) and WP leader in LCA4BIO (Horizon Europe RIA), among others. Massimo is also a teacher of LCA and supervisor of PhD students and master projects using the problem-based learning pedagogy.
