UniStem Day 2026
On 20 March 2026, the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna will take part in the 18th edition of UniStem Day, the international event dedicated to stem cell research and to exploring the perspectives that science offers to younger generations.
Starting at 9:00 a.m., the School’s Aula Magna will host “Free to Choose”, the theme selected for the 2026 edition, inviting participants to reflect on the value of knowledge as a tool for awareness, responsibility and freedom. The morning will be dedicated to secondary school students, featuring talks by faculty members and researchers, as well as opportunities for in-depth discussion and dialogue, aimed at illustrating what it means to conduct research today and the opportunities offered by a scientific career path. The event is organized by Leonardo Ricotti, Professor of Bioengineering at the BioRobotics Institute, in collaboration with the Public Engagement Unit of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.
UniStem Day represents an important opportunity for dialogue between schools and universities, with the goal of bringing younger generations closer to scientific culture, promoting accurate information and encouraging a critical and curious approach to the challenges of medicine and biotechnology.
