Mobility CONFAP-ITALY (MCI II)

The Mobility Confap Italy (MCI) program is an international program that facilitates and supports collaboration between Brazil and Italy. Its goal is to promote scientific, technological, and innovative cooperation through the mobility of doctoral, post-doc, and master's students, who can spend research periods at participating Italian universities. The Mobility Confap Italy program is a collaboration between CONFAP (Conselho Nacional das Fundações Estaduais de Amparo à Pesquisa) and a network of Italian universities. CONFAP is a non-governmental organization that seeks to promote the best expression of the interests of state entities in support of scientific and technological research and innovation in Brazil. It brings together the 27 state funding agencies (known as FAP in Portuguese). The Italian University Network is a group of Italian universities participating in the program, offering a wide range of research opportunities to Brazilian candidates.

The MCI is coordinated by the University of Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum, and the School has been a member since 2025: https://site.unibo.it/mobility-confap-italy/en/mci-program/network-of-italian-university.

Brazilian candidates interested in positions available at participating Italian universities can submit their applications on the Confap Brazil website, and possibly also on the platforms of the Brazilian State Funding Agencies (FAP). The selection process then proceeds, and eligible candidates receive the mobility grant from Confap Brazil and can then travel to the Italian university selected through the mobility opportunities published by each participating university on the Confap Italy website.
