BRIGHT-Night 2021, Friday, September 24th, from 16.30 pm: three different locations in Pisa for the presentation of the cutting-edge research carried out at the Sant’Anna School. This is The program for the night of researchers

Spanning from the next President of the Republic identikit to the importance of vaccination against Covid-19, passing through the analysis of PNRR objectives (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) to the false myths about Africa, from the risks of (and the fake news on) climate change to the importance of biodiversity, from the microrobots that navigate inside the human body to the capabilities of artificial intelligence and to the possibility to see a drone that plays with a ball or to "see first-hand" the inventions of Leonardo da Vinci. These are just some of the topics at the heart of the researchers' proposals of the Sant'Anna School in Pisa for BRIGHT-Night 2021, scheduled for Friday, September 24th.

The event takes place in presence and in safety conditions, in compliance with the protocols against Covid-19. To attend the events, everyone must hold the Green Pass.

The proposal is particularly rich, and it aims to cover the majority of the research interests that characterize the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, thanks to the dislocation of the event in 3 locations in Pisa (Largo Ciro Menotti, Piazza Martiri della Libertà, and headquarters of the Sant'Anna School). In particular, on the headquarters' stage (Piazza Martiri della Libertà, 33 in Pisa) from 16.30 pm on Friday, September 24th, the former student and science communicator Marco Martinelli, accompanied by a musical band composed by Sant'Anna students, will give life to a fascinating journey for the discovery of frontier research with demonstrations, sensory analysis, quizzes, puzzle games and gadget-prizes from Sant'Anna University.

This programme, with the participation of dozens of researchers, will be attended by a well-known guest on TV, the magician Mago Cofano (from "Zelig") who, for the occasion, will contribute to the presentation of the European project "NeuHeart", focused on particularly innovative heart transplants.

"We are happy to be back in the presence this year, albeit with all the security measures. Come and visit us, let yourself be involved by our enthusiasm! You will experience the fascination of research", says Mariagrazia Alabrese, the professor delegated by the Rector Sabina Nuti for BRIGHT 2021, in presenting the new edition.
