DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES: GE Oil & Gas OFFERS THREE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS TO SUPPORT RESEARCH. APPLY BY MONDAY FEBRUARY 13, 2017
Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa and GE collaborate to offer postgraduate scholarship programs to talented students wishing to undertake research on digital technologies. GE provides financial support in the form of 3 scholarship programs for one year. Computer and Telecommunication Engineering, Informatics, Mathematics, and Physics research students are eligible to apply for the scholarships.
All applications for the GE scholarships must be submitted by Monday February 13, 2017. Applicants must have acquired at least two years’ experience in Artificial Intelligence, Predictive Modeling techniques, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics.
The Sant'Anna School Perceptual Robotics Laboratory (Percro) is organized to facilitate the conduct of research activities related to GE scholarship programs under the supervision of Valentina Colla. In early August 2016, Sant'Anna School Tecip Institute (Communication Technologies, Information, Perception), GE Oil & Gas and Tuscany Region authority have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to increase collaborative research activities between the academic community and the professional community.
Scholarship winners will acquire knowledge and skills in the GE’s Predix IoT software platform that collects and analyzes data from industrial machines.
