Marco Frey has been confirmed for a second term as Coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Research Center on Sustainability and Climate at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. He will remain in office for three years, until April 3, 2029.
Frey has received best wishes for his work and congratulations from the entire academic community of the School.

“The challenge that the School decided to take on three years ago with the creation of Interdisciplinary Centers—tasked with developing research on some of the ‘grand challenges’ of our time—is proving to be a success. I am proud to continue along this path with the support of all colleagues and young researchers who are working with enthusiasm and rigor to contribute to a more sustainable, decarbonized and inclusive world,” said Marco Frey.

Marco Frey, Full Professor of Business Administration, directs the Master’s program in Environmental Management and Control: Circular Economy and Efficient Resource Management (GECA Master) at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, and is co-coordinator of the Sustainability Management (SuM) Laboratory at the Institute of Management. He also teaches courses on sustainability topics at the Catholic University of Milan and at LUISS University in Rome (where he is a Senior Fellow of the Business School).
He is President of the Scientific Committee of Symbola, the Foundation for Italian Quality, a member of the Executive Committee of the Italian Touring Club, and a member of the Scientific Committee of Fondazione CDP and of the Academy of the Bank of Italy.
His main research areas include environmental management; the economics and management of renewable energy; corporate social responsibility; workplace safety; environmental and social communication; the economics and management of industrial and technological innovation; and the management of public institutions.
