Institutional positions: Marco Solinas, associate professor of Political Philosophy, is the new president of the Committee for the Guarantee of equal opportunities of the Sant'anna School for the 2025-2029 term

Marco Solinas, associate professor of Political Philosophy, is the new president of the Committee for the Guarantee of equal opportunities of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa for the 2025-2029 term. Appointed by the Academic Senate of the Sant'Anna School, Solinas takes over from Prof. Calogero Oddo, who held the position for the 2021-2025 term.
“It is a great honor for me to assume the presidency of such an important ethical and political committee. I intend to reconfirm the team that, during Calogero Oddo's presidency, achieved extraordinary results; to maintain existing activities and start new ones,” is Solinas' first comment after his appointment.
Populism and conspiracy theories at the center of his research activity
Marco Solinas is an Associate Professor of Political Philosophy and Project Manager of Jean Monnet Module GOLDSTEIN: "Debunking Political Uses of Denialisms and Conspiracy Theories in EU". He's currently working on critical theory of society, populism and conspiracy theories. Solinas completed his studies and received a Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Florence, studying also at University of Nottingham and at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. He carried out research at Institut für Philosophie an der Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main, at the EHESS in Paris, at Ludwig-MaximiliansUniversität München, and at Università Cattolica di Milano. Solinas is in the editorial board of Genealogy, of Consecutio Rerum and in the scientific board of La società degli individui and of Indiscipline, and he published in important international reviews
