Normale and Sant’Anna, tribute to Sabino Cassese on his 90th birthday
On Thursday, February 26, with a public conference in the afternoon at the Palazzo della Carovana preceded by a lecture in the morning at the Piazza Santa Caterina campus, the two university institutions will celebrate the illustrious former student of the Medical-Legal College of Pisa
The Scuola Normale Superiore and the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa are dedicating a day to Sabino Cassese to celebrate his 90th birthday last October.
Professor Emeritus of the Scuola Normale Superiore and Judge Emeritus of the Constitutional Court, Cassese will be in Pisa on Thursday, February 26, for a conference at 3:00 p.m. in the Sala Azzurra of the Normale, in Piazza dei Cavalieri, on “Democracies in difficulty,” and a lecture open to the public at the Sant'Anna School on the morning of the same day, at 11:00 a.m., in the Aula Magna of the headquarters in Piazza Santa Caterina, on the successes and crises of the European Union.
The conference at the Scuola Normale, with free admission, is also organized with the contribution of the Association of Friends of the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa and is part of the series of meetings “La Normale delle idee” (The Normale of Ideas). Cassese, born in Atripalda in the province of Avellino on October 20, 1935, was a student at the Medical-Legal College of Pisa from 1952 to 1956.
