Pisa Welcomes Talent: Admission Exam Tests for the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies Begin on Monday, August 24

The written examinations for admission to the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies (Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna) of Pisa are about to begin. As in previous years, the exams will take place at the Polo "Porta Nuova" in Pisa.

The first session of examinations, for the Medicine and Agricultural and Plant Biotechnology Sciences admission areas, will start on Monday, August 24, at 3:00 p.m. The second session is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, at 9:30 a.m.

The examinations will continue on Tuesday, August 25 (3:00 p.m.) and Wednesday, August 26 (9:30 a.m.) for the Social Sciences area, and on Thursday, August 27 (3:00 p.m.) and Friday, August 28 (9:30 a.m.) for Industrial and Information Engineering.

Alongside the admission competition, the initiative “Pisa Welcomes Talent” returns, offering a welcome program for candidates. The Sant'Anna School provides applicants taking the admission examinations with reimbursement of travel expenses, in accordance with the income brackets specified in the admission notice, as well as discounted accommodation options at affiliated facilities or in the School's residential colleges.

The program also includes several initiatives designed to introduce candidates to Pisa's artistic and cultural heritage. The Sant'Anna School has renewed its partnership with CoopCulture to offer the opportunity to walk along Pisa's medieval city walls, which surround the historic center. Through vouchers distributed before the examinations, candidates and their companions will be entitled to a discounted ticket for access to the elevated walkway.

Thanks to an agreement with Palazzo Blu, candidates will also be able to visit free of charge the temporary exhibition “Landscapes of Life”, featuring works by Piero Macola, one of the leading voices in contemporary graphic storytelling and author comics. Accompanying guests may enter at a reduced admission fee of €3.

Finally, the Opera della Primaziale Pisana is offering special discounts for visits to the monuments of Piazza dei Miracoli, allowing participants to fully experience the unique atmosphere of one of the world's most remarkable open-air museum complexes. The discounted admission is valid for the monuments in the Square, including the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Camposanto Monumentale, the Museum of the Sinopias, and the Opera del Duomo Museum.

The opportunities and benefits offered under the “Pisa Welcomes Talent” program will remain available throughout the entire admission competition, from Monday, August 24, until the conclusion of the oral examinations, scheduled for Monday, September 7.
