Improving care for the elderly by strengthening the resilience of healthcare workers: the MeS Laboratory of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies participates in the second annual meeting of the Support4Resilience project

Second annual meeting of the European project Support4Resilience, which aims to improve care for the elderly by strengthening the resilience of healthcare personnel. The project partners met in Nicosia (Cyprus) to discuss the progress of activities aimed at strengthening the resilience of professionals providing care for the elderly through a digital tool that improves the management skills of leaders.
The Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa is participating in the project with the MeS Laboratory of the Institute of Management: the meeting was attended by Nicola Bellé, associate professor of Business Economics, Paola Cantarelli, researcher in Business Economics and Management, and Luca Scopis, PhD student in Health Science, Technology and Management.
Participants, both in person and remotely, were able to exchange ideas, share experiences and gain a deeper understanding of the local context. During the meeting, the partners took part in update sessions on the various tasks and practical workshops dedicated to the development of the ToolBox S4R, a set of essential tools that will be made available to healthcare leaders to improve and strengthen the elderly care system.
The event was a key moment to assess the results achieved in the first year of the project: reviews of international academic literature, analyses of contexts and healthcare systems are taking shape, empirical surveys in several countries have been completed and the Toolbox is acquiring an increasingly defined structure. There is still a long way to go and it will take commitment, creativity and determination to achieve the objectives set, but the activities carried out so far are a good start.
