The International STEM Awards gather technology passionate and future lovers who want to inspire and mobilize young generations to propose solutions to the actual and urgent problems and to share their ideas with their peers worldwide for a sustainable and ethical future.
The International STEM Awards showcases projects and rewards young talents involved in creative and innovative solutions in the STE(A)M field - Science, Technology, Engineering (Arts) and Maths. Professor Antonio Frisoli from the TeCIP Institute as the research coordinator of Human-Robot Interaction together with researcher Daniele Leonardis, have joined the selection board of International STEM Awards 2020 in a web marathon of videos, interviews and webinars (in Italian and English) dedicated to young people discussing highly impacting issues like sustainability, energy, mobility, smart cities, space and much more.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the International STEM Awards 2020 will be a virtual awards ceremony taking place on Saturday 23 May 2020, 10.00 am to 5.00 pm, on the Webex platform.
To encourage the innovation, creativity, and critical thinking of a new generation of STEM innovators and researchers, the STEM Awards offer young “entrepreneurs” the opportunity to prove their talent and be members of a next generation community creating an impact on the society. This year, despite the difficult situation, the quality of the shortlisted candidates was excellent. The Selection Committee chose 118 projects developed by 290 young participants aged 7 - 25 years from 10 countries.
