Vincenzo Lionetti confirmed as President of the Italian Society of Cardiovascular Research for the three-year period 2026-2028

Vincenzo Lionetti, associate professor at the Interdisciplinary Health Science Research Centre of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, has been confirmed as President of the Italian Society for Cardiovascular Research for the three-year period 2026-2028.
The Italian Society for Cardiovascular Research (SIRC) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1993 to promote the integration of the latest developments in cardiovascular biology into everyday medical practice, with the aim of bridging the gap between basic research and its therapeutic translation. The aim of the association is to promote research on the cardiovascular system by facilitating the exchange of information on research and studies related to the cardiovascular system; organising national and international scientific conferences on the most current topics in cardiovascular research; establishing collaborative relationships with other scientific societies; promoting international relations and coordinated research in Italy and other countries, including through the establishment of scholarships.

Lionetti was confirmed as President after holding the position for the three-year period 2023-2025.
