Within the framework of its institutional policies aimed at promoting a healthy, fair, and sustainable working environment, the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna recognizes organizational well-being as a strategic dimension for the quality of teaching, research, and administrative activities, as well as for the full appreciation and development of the people who work within the institution. Fostering respectful, inclusive, and collaboration-oriented working conditions strengthens the cohesion of the academic community and consistently supports the effectiveness of the School’s institutional functions.

From this perspective, particular attention is given to the protection of digital time and to the right to disconnect, understood as essential tools for ensuring a sustainable balance between professional and personal life, preventing situations of overload, and promoting a mindful use of technologies and communication channels. The definition of clear timeframes, practices, and expectations in work organization helps to build a context grounded in responsibility, mutual respect, and the quality of professional relationships.

The Guidelines for the Protection of Organizational Well-Being and Digital Time at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, aimed at guiding behaviors, operational practices, and communication methods within the academic community, were approved by the Academic Senate at its meeting of 20 January 2026 and constitute a point of reference for all School staff.
