Performance Evaluation

The purpose of the Performance Evaluation System is to provide an overall picture of the trend of health management authorities, useful not only for the result assessment, but also for the enhancement of the achieved outcomes. The system is the main tool in supporting the governmental purpose, especially at a regional level.


The performance evaluation process intends therefore, to start the enhancement of health care authorities “best practices", through which managers and organizations as a whole may have the opportunity to learn and grow.


Data benchmarking between both realities (local and regional authorities) facilitates in fact the overcoming of self-reference, understood as an essential tool in verifying the achieved results and any other improvement opportunity.
