Italian Politics after the populist government: between continuity and change

The international workshop aims to assess the challenges facing the Italian political system after the collapse of the ‘populist’ government and the formation of the ‘yellow-red’ coalition. It is inspired by the Italian Politics yearbook – published by Il Mulino and the journal Contemporary Italian Politics. It discusses the tumultuous developments in Italian Politics since the publication of the 2019 yearbook (edited by Edoardo Bressanelli and David Natali) and in preparation of the 2020 edition (edited by Manuela Moschella and Martin Rhodes). The Istituto Cattaneo and the Johns Hopkins University (Bologna Centre) – who are the key institutions behind the yearbook – are contributing.
