Torna a Sant'Anna Magazine

From March 19 to 21, 2026, the Sant'Anna School will host the third SIG (Special Interest Group) Institutions and Entrepreneurship (InsEnt) – ECSB Workshop. Following the inaugural edition in Barcelona (2024) and the second edition in Naples (2025).

The workshop offers an open and collaborative environment to share ideas, explore new research perspectives, and promote new collaborations aimed at deepening our understanding of how institutional contexts influence entrepreneurship, innovation, and social development.

The Special Interest Group (SIG) Institutions and Entrepreneurship (InsEnt) is a community of scholars under the auspices of the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB) dedicated to the study of entrepreneurship from an institutional perspective. The SIG brings together researchers interested in how institutional contexts influence entrepreneurial activity, innovation, and social change.

Call for abstract

Participation in the 3rd InsEnt SIG–ECSB Workshop is free of charge, but registration is mandatory and can be completed through this form. The deadline for registration is 20 February 2026. Please note that places are limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged.

Participants are invited to submit a 2-page extended abstract during their registration (by 20 February 2026) and will receive feedback and guidance during the workshop discussions. The abstract should be structured as follows:

Title

Objective and problem statement

Preliminary theoretical framework

Preliminary methodology

Potential results or expected contributions

References.

While optional, this is highly recommended, as it provides a valuable opportunity to engage with peers and senior scholars in the field. These submissions will help structure the Research Presentation, facilitating constructive dialogue and feedback among participants.
