The Inequality Day workshop, titled “Social classes and inequalities: On-Going trends and future challenges”, brings into focus the evolving landscape of socio-economic inequality in contemporary societies.

Through an interdisciplinary lens, the event will explore both long-standing disparities and emerging dynamics shaping social stratification. The sessions will examine how social classes are transforming within modern economies, while also reflecting on the role played by institutions and social actors in either reinforcing or mitigating inequalities.

Particular attention will be devoted to the challenges and opportunities for fostering inclusive and sustainable growth in the context of climate change, where economic, social, and environmental dimensions increasingly intersect.

Bringing together sociologists and economists from Italian and French universities, the workshop aims to spark dialogue, strengthen academic collaboration, and open new pathways for research in the social sciences.
