Inequality Research at Sant’Anna: Non è giusta (Laterza, 2025) and Beyond
Palazzo Pilo Boyl - Sala Conferenze
In September 2025, Editori Laterza published Non è giusta. L'Italia delle disuguaglianze, edited by Giacomo Gabbuti, Assistant Professor of Economic History at Scuola Sant’Anna. The volume synthesizes recent advances in the economic and historical literature on inequality in Italy, making them accessible to a broader audience while contributing to the national public debate.
Of the 13 contributors, seven are currently or were previously affiliated with the Institute of Economics, either as PhD students or faculty members. For this reason, rather than offering a conventional book presentation, this workshop uses the volume as an opportunity to showcase the breadth of ongoing research at the Institute on economic inequalities—spanning past and present, Italy and beyond, and intersecting with key dimensions such as gender, climate, and health.
