On July 6th, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna will host a new seminar within the Plant Lab Seminar Series, focusing on key developments in plant molecular physiology.

The seminar, entitled “Integrating Plant Epigenetic and Transcriptional Responses during the Perception of Environmental Cues”, will be delivered by Giorgio Perrella, Associate Professor of Genetics at the University of Milan “La Statale”.

The talk will address how plants integrate epigenetic mechanisms and transcriptional regulation to respond to environmental stimuli. In particular, it will explore the role of histone modifiers in coordinating plant growth and development under changing environmental conditions, offering insights into the dynamic interplay between gene expression and external cues.

The event will take place in Aula 3 at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (Piazza Martiri della Libertà 33, Pisa) and is open to students, researchers, and all those interested in plant biology and genetics.
