Post-Capitalist Perspectives: Present Realities and Future Possibilities
This workshop is organized by a group of PhD students and builds on a year-long, self-organized reading group on postcapitalist economics involving doctoral researchers from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, the University of Pisa, and the University of Siena.
The two-day workshop will bring together 17 contributions addressing key debates on post-capitalist transformations, with a focus on alternative economic paradigms, ecological sustainability, social justice, AI narratives and digital labor regimes, and new institutional arrangements beyond conventional growth-oriented models. In particular, the workshop will feature both theoretical and empirical contributions aimed at exploring challenges and opportunities for imagining and shaping post-capitalist futures.
