Classroom 1 – The BioRobotics Institute
(Online participation available)

The BioRobotics Institute is pleased to invite you to the upcoming seminar by Dr. Hen-Wei Huang, Nanyang Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University (School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering / LKC School of Medicine).

What if robots could act inside the human body before a medical emergency becomes critical? Dr. Huang will present a compelling new vision of autonomous robotic systems designed to operate as in vivo sentinels — continuously monitoring physiological signals, detecting hazardous conditions, and delivering targeted therapies in real time.

The talk will cover cutting-edge platforms including ingestible robots for radiation detection and antidote delivery, implantable closed-loop systems for opioid overdose reversal, and distributed sensing networks for physiological surveillance — along with the key enabling technologies behind them.

The seminar will be followed by an open discussion.
