​March 2016 - todayResearch assistant in BioRobotics, The BioRobotics Institute, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in collaboration with the Department of Surgical Sciences of University of Turin. Design and development a miniaturized robotic device to be coupled to a traditional flexible endoscope for the surgical dissection of gastrointestinal tract early neoplasms. The device includes a cap body with two robotic arms for performing manipulation and surgical tissue dissection. 

​January 2016 - February 2016Research assistant in BioRobotics, The BioRobotics Institute, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. Development an integrated robotic platform for the navigation of a soft-tethered colonoscope capable of performing painless diagnosis and treatment. Collaboration in EndoVESPA European Project.

January 2015 - December 2015Research assistant in BioRobotics, The BioRobotics Institute, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. The main activity is to design and develop a novel soft robotic manipulator for Minimally Invasive Surgery. This device combines flexible fluidic actuators enabling omnidirectional bending and elongation capability and the granular jamming phenomenon to implement a selective stiffness changing. Collaboration in Stiff-Flop European Project.

May 2014 - December 2014Post-lauream Scholarship in BioRobotics, The BioRobotics Institute, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.The main activity is to design, develop and validate an innovative robotic-magnetic device for tissue retraction for minimally invasive surgical interventions.



October 2014: Enabled to the profession of Engineer by passing the Italian State Examination.

February 2014Master Degree in Biomedical Enginering, University of Pisa. Thesis Title: "Studio, realizzazione e validazione di un dispositivo miniaturizzato per la retrazione di organi in chirurgia minimamente invasiva". Advisors: Prof. A. Menciassi, Dr. S. Tognarelli, Dr. G. Ciuti.

May 2011Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Engineering, University of Pisa. Thesis Title: "Confronto tra cellule di purkinje estratte da topi wild-type e da modelli animali dell'autismo tramite un tool di analisi morfologica". Advisors: Prof. A. Ahluwalia.



December 2016 - First place in “Donna e Lavoro Startup 2016”. It is a national competition to support the development of the innovative ideas and the women entrepreneurs. I have proposed a mechatronic device for cervical dilation measurement during the active phase of labour.

June 2016 - Finalist in Surgical Robot Challenge 2016. It is an international competition that showcases the latest developments in Surgical Robotics. Research teams from around the world come to London to demonstrate the latest innovations in surgical robotics. Each team has 3 hours to set up the surgical robot and demonstrate the innovation to a panel of experts including pioneers of the field and leading surgeons. I have proposed a soft laparoscopic tool for minimally invasive surgery to integrate on the daVinci Surgery Robot.

June 2015 - Finalist in “Lifebility Award”. The aim of the competition is to reward projects and innovative ideas from young people, for the improvement, simplification and accessibility of public and private services in the community. Award: course (in Milano) and tutoring on how to rework the idea in a Business Plan version.
