PhD Programmes at Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies are reserved for Master’s Degree or equivalent level degree holders. Access to PhD programmes is exclusively achieved through annual public calls launched by the School.   

Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies considers PhD programmes as one of its most important institutional activities, in order to realise an effective synergy between training, fundamental and applied reasearch with a special focus on industrial and productive and public innovation demand.

TeCIP Institute promotes the PhD Course in Emerging Digital Technologies, a three-year full-time programme with compulsory attendance, with a strong interdisciplinary character. The Course is characterised by an in-depth educational training path and supervised research activity, oriented to the elaboration of an innovative thesis work to be debated in a public session.

The Course, in line with the excellence standard pursued by the School, intends to train a professional profile able to successfully find a position in public or private, national or international research structures and services and productive businesses operating in the field of communication, information and perception technologies.
