The first-level university master's diploma "Vini italiani, mercati mondiali" opens its eighth consecutive edition: the opening ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, November 3rd, starting at 3 p.m., in the Aula Magna of the Sant'Anna School, in Pisa. The advanced training course is promoted by four universities in Tuscany (Sant'Anna School, University of Pisa, University of Siena, University for Foreigners of Siena), in collaboration with Ais, Italian Sommelier Association.

The purpose is to train highly professional experts who, thanks to their knowledge of the factors of wine production, the tools, traditional and innovative, of communication and marketing principles, are able to contribute to the promotion of Italian wines abroad and their affirmation in the various established and expanding world markets. Additional knowledge on tasting techniques, developed during the didactic activities, will be guaranteed by the acquisition of the sommelier diploma issued by Ais, during the course.

"The activation of the eighth edition", underlines Pietro Tonutti, professor of Viticulture at Sant'Anna School and director of the master's program, "reaffirms the value and attractiveness of the training proposal, confirmed by the employment rate of those who took the diploma in previous editions. The main aim of our master's program is to respond to the global-leading world of Italian viticulture, which requires new professional figures with wide skills in different sectors of the production chain".
