Courses and Research Activities

The Ph.D. in Translational Medicine is a three-year Programme. While the Ph.D. students start working at their research project from the first year of the Programme, they are also expected to attend mandatory Courses in Scientific Communication, Scientific English, Biostatistics and Clinical Statistics, Laboratory Methodology, as well as Workshops and Journal Clubs, equivalent to a total of at least 150 hours over the 3 years. Moreover, the Ph.D. students are encouraged to attend a wide variety of elective classes, choosing them on the basis of their specific interests. A research period of at least six months in a laboratory abroad is part of the training program.
