Bio
Ahmet Kaymak was born in 1994 Bayburt, Turkey. He obtained his bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering as the valedictorian of the class of 2017 and Biomedical Engineering as a double major in 2018 from Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University in Istanbul, Turkey. He completed his master's degree in Bionic Engineering from the University of Pisa and the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in 2021 .
He is currently a doctoral candidate at the BioRobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, where he is part of the Computational Neuroengineering Laboratory under the supervision of Dr Alberto Mazzoni. His research interests mainly focus on the mathematical modelling of pathological neural dynamics of movement disorders in basal ganglia, the application of machine learning approaches to electrophysiological recordings, and statistical neural data analyses.
