Bio

Andrea Saracino is Associate Professor at the ReTiS lab and at the Department of Excellence in AI and Robotics (DiPE). From January 2019 to April 2024 he has been Permanent Researcher at the Institute of Informatics and Telematics at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR). His research interest are in cybersecurity and applied AI in cyberphysical and distributed systems. He has been the coordinator of the Horizon 2020 SIFIS-Home project and he is currently active as coordinator or team responsible in other EU and national research projects (PRIN). He got a PhD in Information Engineering from University of Pisa in 2015 and has been visiting student at MST (Missouri University of Science and Technology) in 2013, working with Prof. Sajal K. Das on Distributed Trust Mechanisms. He graduated in Computer Engineering at University of Pisa (Ma.Eng 2011, Ba.Eng. 2010). He is the co-founder of SMARTOTUM, spin-off company of Sant'Anna, CNR and Politecnico di Torino working on Smart Home systems.
