Behnam Kamare

Bio

Behnam Kamare is a postdoctoral researcher in the Surface Phenomena and Integrated Systems Lab at the BioRobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, under the supervision of Professor Fabian Gerd Meder. 

He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran. In 2024, he obtained a PhD in BioRobotics from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna on the biomechanical analysis of elephant trunk skin for future adaptive artificial skins. His main research interests include soft robotics, biohybrid energy harvesting, finite element analysis, and biomechanics.
