Bio

Chiara Seghieri is assistant professor of Social Statistics at the Laboratorio Management e Sanità of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. In the past ten years, she has worked on a variety of health policy and health care research projects and her current research interests include the use of statistical methods for the measurement and assessment of health care quality and equity using observational data from both sample surveys and administrative records. She has collaborated with several international institution and academic/research centers including FAO (Rome), The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice (Dartmouth University, US), The Netherlands institute for health services research – NIVEL, Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (University of Toronto, Canada) and she has been the scientific responsible for Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of two European Projects (“HarmonicSS” - HARMONIzation and integrative analysis of regional, national and international Cohorts on primary Sjögren’s Syndrome (pSS) towards improved stratification, treatment and health policy making disease- funded under H2020-SC1-2016-2017 and “QUALICOPC” - Quality and costs of primary care in Europe - funded under FP7-HEALTH).
