Book presentation of “Fuga dal capitalismo” by Clara E. Mattei

The Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna hosts a conversation centered on “Fuga dal capitalismo”  a revised, updated, and expanded edition of the essay “L’economia è politica” (The Economy Is Political), in which Clara E. Mattei weaves together economic analysis and critical reflection on the present, including an updated perspective on the situation in Gaza and Palestine.

The event will be introduced by Andrea Roventini, Director of the Institute of Economics. The discussion will feature the author in conversation with Giacomo Gabbuti and Julian Tiedtke, engaging in an open dialogue on economic models, power, and possible alternatives.

An economist at the City University of New York, Clara E. Mattei has developed an international academic career that led her to found the FREE project, devoted to more participatory and democratic forms of economics. Her book “The Capital Order” — recognized by the Financial Times as one of the most influential books of the year — has helped reshape the contemporary debate on austerity.
