Ethics, Law and Governance of Neurotechnologies
On 2 December 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in Room 4 of Palazzo Pilo Boyl, the seminar “Ethics, Law and Governance of Neurotechnologies” takes place, offering an opportunity to explore the ethical, legal, and governance implications of neurotechnologies.
The programme opens at 4:00 p.m. with a keynote by Prof. Marcello Ienca (Technical University Munich), who discusses the topic of neurorights and their transition from theory to public policy, with particular attention to the UNESCO Recommendation.
At 5:00 p.m., Dr. Lisa Forsberg (University of Oxford) takes the floor, examining the purposes and limits of neurointerventions for therapeutic use and public protection, opening a reflection on the ethical issues raised by such applications.
