Sociotechlab - Research and innovation in social and healthcare services for the elderly

The Management and Health Laboratory of the Institute of Management and SPI CGIL are organizing a conference on June 5, 2025, dedicated to the topic of social and healthcare services for the elderly population.

The initiative stems from a research project conducted on the Long-Term Care system and nursing homes (RSAs) in four Italian regions (Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Abruzzo, and Molise). The project analyzed the functioning and critical issues of the system through a literature review, data analysis, interviews with regional and national experts, and visits to residential facilities.

The study assessed the system and the four regions across five dimensions of sustainability: economic, socio-environmental, organizational, workforce-related, and technological, with the aim of contributing to the development of a more equitable, integrated, and sustainable system.

National experts, faculty members and researchers from the School, and representatives of SPI CGIL will speak during the conference.
