Bio
I am a lawyer, Disciplinary Expert in private law and agricultural law (Roma Tre University) and a PhD candidate in agrifood law at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (PhD program in Human Rights and Global Politics). As a PhD candidate, I investigate the intricate relationship between urban food policy and food sovereignty, with a specific emphasis on food waste as a critical issue within the urban food policy landscape. The role of food sovereignty as a lens and the importance of a multilevel governance approach will be prominent throughout my research.
As a trainee in the Municipality of Milan – Food Policy Office (MUFPP Secretariat Unit) I collaborated on the HORIZON project "CLEVERFOOD" in order to carry out a comparative analysis in 50 cities in 29 countries in the European territory to assess the development of urban food policies present in that geographical area. The project intends, as well, to develop models of transformative governance of the multi-level food system and strategies to promote food policies and legislation.
Subsequently, I started a new experience as a Bluebook trainee within the EU Commission working with the Legal Service - AGRI Team, facing the more critical aspects of agrifood and environmental issues.
I am currently completing my visiting period abroad at the Universidade de Sao Paolo - Ribeirao Preto (Brazil).
I love living abroad (and then coming back home) and building strong relationships. Hence, in 2011 I spent six months in Auckland, New Zealand for an exchange student experience. In 2016 I did my Erasmus in Nantes, France and finally I lived two months in Granada for a volunteer project. In 2018 I graduated in Law at Roma Tre University (110/110 cum laude) and after two years I joint an LLM in Food Law in the same University.
