Covid-19: International guidelines and information

Covid

Constantly updated mandatory restrictions and requirements are set for people coming from foreign countries, according to their country of origin and travel motivation. At present time, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, several groups of countries have to undergo specific restrictions (Focus: Italian nationals returning to Italy and foreigners in Italy).

Travelling rules vary, depending on the country of origin or destination and the reasons for travelling. We suggest you to check the following website to have a dossier for each country in the world: http://www.viaggiaresicuri.it/

Please note that a questionnaire has been created to let you know the provisions and the instructions you have to follow in case of travel from/to Italy. You can go to the questionnaire and check your situation: https://infocovid.viaggiaresicuri.it/index_en.html

As the restriction measures may utterly change, before travelling please remember to check the website infocovid.viaggiaresicuri.it as well as the following website to check all the steps to follow to enter in Tuscany Region https://www.regione.toscana.it/-/ingressi-in-italia-dall-estero

In particular, for students coming from several foreign countries it is mandatory to undergo a 14-day period of fiduciary isolation/health surveillance and to notify their entry into the Italian national borders to the Prevention Department of the Local Health Agency - Azienda Sanitaria USL Toscana Nord Ovest filling in the form available at:

Italian: Segnalazione ingresso in Italia
English: Reporting your entry into Italy

Please note that the student is personally liable for this and the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna has no obligation.

Communications from ministry of domestic affairs - immigration departments

People who are requested to stay in quarantine are allowed to apply for the Stay Permit at the end of that period therefore they are not anymore obliged to make the application within 8 days after the arrival.

International Relations Office - Support

IRO will continue to support students and researchers who have to renew their Stay permits. Due to the nationwide state of emergency IRO will receive people personally at the Scuola only with a written appointment: you have to write an email to iro@santannapisa.it and we will give date and hour to come. The welcoming procedures will follow the restrictions and security measures to be adopted.
