Marco Lupi

Marco Lupi received his Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Biomedical Engineering in 2019 and his Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Robotics and Automation Engineering in 2024 from the University of Pisa, Italy.

Since 2024, he has been enrolled in the XL Ph.D. cycle in BioRobotics at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Italy, where he carries out his research activities at the Textile Robotics Lab of the Institute of BioRobotics, under the supervision of Professor Leonardo Cappello, within the Artificial Hands Area.

During his academic and research career, he has collaborated with several international research institutions, including the Multifunctional Material Design (MMD) Group at Aalto University (Finland), the Research and Innovation Centre for Electrical Engineering at the University of West Bohemia (Czech Republic), and the Bristol Composite Institute at the University of Bristol (United Kingdom).

His research focuses on the study of nonlinear elastic materials with multiple stable states and on their integration into robotic technologies for rehabilitation and assistance, within the framework of the European project MUsculoSkeletal Expansion (MUSE).
