Bio

Marta Mariolina Mollicone graduated with honors in law at the age of 22. Her thesis, entitled "Management of Cross-Border Banking Crises," focused on corporate crisis law and was subsequently published. Following an intensive period of legal practice at a boutique law firm that specialized in commercial law and corporate crises, she pursued further studies in civil law by completing an internship at the Supreme Court of Cassation in the First Civil Section. This experience significantly expanded her substantive and procedural skills in civil law. Driven by her passion for studying law and her belief that a systematic approach is necessary to understand it, she also studied criminal and administrative law in depth. In 2024, she earned a Ph.D. in Management and Law, specializing in economic law, from the Polytechnic University of Marche. Her doctoral thesis focused on civil liability in relation to artificial intelligence. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa where she collaborates with Professor Andrea Bertolini. Her most recent research concerns civil law issues related to the development and use of agentic artificial intelligence. In addition to the law and civil liability of new technologies, her scientific interests include human rights and protecting human dignity in the digital and postmodern era. She also works as a lawyer at the Soldini law firm in Rome. She is the author of numerous publications and is also the Junior Executive Editor for The Italian Law Journal.
