Marta Stroppa
Bio
Marta Stroppa is a Postdoctoral Researcher in International Law at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, where she also completed her PhD in Human Rights and Global Politics in 2024. Her main fields of research are international law on the use of force, international humanitarian law, and international human rights law.
During her PhD, Marta was a Visiting Scholar at the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence in Tallinn, Estonia, and at the University of Westminster in London, United Kingdom.
Marta is also Research Fellow at the Information Society Law Center of the University of Milan and a member of the Editorial Committee of the Italian Review of International and Comparative Law. She has previously worked in the Legal Affairs Office of the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in New York and in the Global Maritime Crime Programme of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Bangkok. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in International Relations from the University of Milan and a Master of Laws in International and European Law from Tilburg University.
