Launch of the new version of OneSearch: a step forward for SBART Consortium

The Library has completed the implementation of the new version of the OneSearch catalog, made possible thanks to the joint contribution of librarians from the SBART Consortium - Sistema Bibliotecario Atenei Regione Toscana.

The new version simplifies back-end processes and allows for more immediate and effective configuration, greatly improving the user experience.

Users can now experience:

  • Filters by resource type, placed immediately below the search bar, allowing for simplified and more intuitive navigation;
  • Streamlined filters on the right-hand side "Tweak your results", clearer names and better translations in the English version;
  • More relevant search results limited to Library subscribed resources, with the ability to expand them at any time by clicking on "Add unsubscribed resources in the filter column;
  • New configuration of information in bibliographic records, with emphasis on information most useful to the user;
  • Direct links to FORMs for requests of interlibrary services (Interlibrary Loan and Article Supply) and new acquisitions, to take immediate advantage of these services from the bibliographic record of interest.
