The only Italian scholar invited to the annual conference of the Spanish Association of Law and Economics, scheduled for Thursday, June 27, and Friday, June 28, in Barcelona, hosted by the prestigious Universitat Pompeu Fabra, is Roberta de Paolis, a research fellow in Criminal Law at the Dirpolis Institute (Law, Politics, Development) of the Sant'Anna School. In her talk, Roberta de Paolis discusses how alternative punitive models for so-called "white collar" crime can contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

The Spanish Association of Law and Economics aims to promote the use of the models and criteria of economic analysis in the study of institutional phenomena, including through the organization of congresses and conferences, most notably the annual conference organized without interruption since 2010, during which scholars and practitioners gather at Spanish and Portuguese universities to address topical issues affecting law and economics.
