The Biorobotics Institute at the IEEE Life Sciences Grand Challenges Conference

From January 24 to January 26, many Professors and Assistant Professors of The Biorobotics Institute of Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies have participated at the IEEE Life Sciences Grand Challenges Conference, in the Khalifa University (Abu Dhabi), one of the most important conference in the fields of Biorobotics and Bionic Engineering.

In the rich program of the Conference, Paolo Dario has held a task of Conference Chair while Arianna Mencassi and Cecilia Laschi presented two papers entitled “Robots for minimally invasive surgery: the importance of targeting” and “Bioinspiration and Soft Robotics: lessons from Nature for new frontiers of robotics”.

Other components of the Biorobotics Institute have participated in the conference: Gastone Ciuti, Stefano Mazzoleni e Leonardo Ricotti, Assistant Professors of the Biorobotics Institute; Elisa Donati, Margherita Mencattelli, Annagiulia Morachioli, PhD students.
