On the occasion of the International Day against Violence against Women (25 November), on Tuesday 21 November at 9 p.m., at the Gipsoteca di Arte Antica e Antiquarium (Pisa), the actress Cristina Donadio will read extracts from the anthology 'Amore senza lividi, Storie di guerriere senza paura' collected and narrated by Chiara Nocchetti and Benedetta De Nicola (Collana Le Pietre Scartate, Edizioni San Gennaro, reprinted November 2022). Preface by Sabrina Ferilli. Edited by Manuela Palombi.
The reading will be preceded by greetings from: Elena Dundovich (CUG - Comitato Unico di Garanzia, University of Pisa), Maria Antonietta Fiamma (CUG - Comitato Unico di Garanzia, Scuola Normale Superiore), Calogero Oddo (CUG - Comitato Unico di Garanzia, Sant'Anna School).
The reading is organised by the Pisa Inter-University Desk against Gender Violence created by the joint initiative of the CUGs of the Sant'Anna School, Scuola Normale Superiore and University of Pisa.
The stories are testimonies of women who have made it. Women with a turbulent past who suffered psychological and physical harassment for years but who, following a pathway out of violence, have finally taken their lives back. Stories of hope. Stories that send a message of positivity and a cry of rebirth: from violence you can get out!
