Linda Paternò, post-doc at the BioRobotics Institute of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, is among the guests at the eighth edition of the Festival del Pensare, scheduled for July 21-25 in the towns of Casale Marittimo, Montescudaio and Cecina. Paternò's talk, scheduled for Sunday, July 24 at 9:30 p.m., focuses on the relationship and interaction between robots and people. The word 'robot,' thanks in part to science fiction, has often evoked strange and hostile objects. Today, however, robots have turned into a resource that can help people in an infinity of tasks, especially in daily life and in areas, such as medicine and surgery, that can open new frontiers in caring for people.

The Festival del Pensare was created with the idea of offering food for thought and debate in a wide range of topics, from philosophy to economics, from art to ecology. The main theme of the 2022 edition is "FUTURE".
