On Friday, September 29, Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli Park is hosting a conference organized by the Park Authority, FederParchi and Europarc on "Managing and Enhancing Biodiversity in Protected Areas." The initiative aims to present good practices and technological innovations and proposals for active citizenship and digital ecosystem that can be replicated throughout the country. The conference proposes a model of active participation for the enhancement, preservation, restoration and improvement of biodiversity.
The event at the Presidential Villa in San Rossore Park begins at 9 a.m. The introduction is by Ente Parco, Federparchi, Tuscany Region Department of Environment, ANCI Toscana, while representatives from ENEA, CREA and Sant'Anna School speak on topics such as biodiversity conservation and enhancement.
Anna Mensuali, Associate Professor at the Plant Science Research Center of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, and Elisa Pellegrino, Researcher at the same research center, address the issue of conservation and enhancement of plant and microbial biodiversity and present proposals for active participation.
