Healthcare, assessing performance to revitalise the system. In Udine, the Mes Laboratory of the Institute of Management presented the results of the year 2022 performance of the network of Italian regions (9 Regions and two Autonomous Provinces)

The 'Network of Regions', coordinated by the MeS Management and Healthcare Laboratory of the Institute of Management of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, proposes a reflection on the performance results achieved in 2022 by healthcare, territorial and hospital companies, including, for some areas, also private contracted companies. For 2022, the 'Network of Regions' includes nine Italian regions (Basilicata, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Apulia, Tuscany, Umbria, Veneto) and the two Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano. These regions share the results achieved on different dimensions in order to stimulate the comparison, between regions and between companies/territories within each region, on clinical care paths, on the services offered in the different care settings and to activate virtuous mechanisms for the valorisation of good practices.

The event, which was held at the Udine Castle, was organised by the research team of the MeS Laboratory, coordinated by Dr Francesca Ferrè, in collaboration with the Health Coordination Agency (ARCS) of Friuli Venezia Giulia and under the patronage of the Municipality of Udine. Speakers included Riccardo Riccardi, Assessore alla salute della Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia, prof. Silvio Brusaferro, Presidente Istituto Superiore di Sanità; prof.ssa Sabina Nuti, Rector of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna di Pisa.
